My understanding based on the FFADO "configuration" file is that the Firebox is currently supported. I'm having a similar problem I guess, my Alesis io26 interface is not recognized by ffado-dbus-server or jackd. After compiling from source (both libffado and jackd) it works, but sadly this breaks a lot of dependencies (ardour etc.).
