Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: vlc

Release: Ubuntu Karmic 9.10
VLC Version: 1.0.2-ubuntu1

When playing vidoes from VLC (this is over a samba share) the colour hues are
off to the blue side of the spectrum by default.
This can be fixed by modifying the values in the video options (tools ->
effects and filters -> video effects -> enable image adjust and move hue slider
to centre of bar); however, these changes do not "save" between sessions and
must be done each time VLC is restarted. This was not an issue on this system
with Jaunty.

Copying a file to the local filesystem and then playing it through VLC
did not solve the issue.

The system is an upgrade from Jaunty to the beta version. Using ALSA,
nvidia 280GTX (w/ restricted drivers), and GRUB legacy on an ext3 file
system.

I expect when a video starts that the colour hues be properly adjusted
(that is, not skewed to either side of the spectrum).
