Ubuntu better. Unfortunately we can't fix it without more information,
since you do not describe the problem at all.

In Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic) we have a new tool to debug storage related
problems. Please run ubuntu-bug, select storage problem, and walk
through the steps. This will create a new bug report.
