The dpkg recovery-mode option still has the same behavior in Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/45 Title: Recovery Menu - "DPKG: Fix Broken Packages" is also an Upgrade tool -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 452222] Re: Recovery Menu - "DPKG: Fix Broken Packages" is also an Upgrade tool
This also had an additional problem, that I will add here, in that this "Fix Broken " (as I said, which also "upgrades") also ignores any "Pinned" packages. I have Avidemux 2.4.4 Pinned in Synaptic to not upgrade, but this tool (in recovery menu) ignores that and automatically assigns the upgrade to Avidemux, therefore rendering the entire tool unusable. Brian, can we reassign this to "Medium" because there is now an issue that blocks the use of this tool? -- Recovery Menu - "DPKG: Fix Broken Packages" is also an Upgrade tool https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/45 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
