In fact I experienced the same problem when making an drag and drop from cells in calc, and also when I drag and drog titels in the nav bar (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/440473)... I'm wondering if it is not a general issue from drag and drop in openoffice. I'm using the kde integration, I don't know if this is only linked with kde... I'll try to report back after testing in gnome.
