[Bug 456899] Re: LMSans17 is substituted for Monospace
Closing as invalid. This was caused by referencing a missing font family in 'custom-set-face' inside my .emacs. (The font used to be present on the system, but I did not re-install it after a system upgrade.) Apparently, if custom-face is set inside .emacs, Emacs will disregard the setting in the command-line or X resources. ** Changed in: defoma (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- LMSans17 is substituted for Monospace https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/456899 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 456899] Re: LMSans17 is substituted for Monospace
This got worse in Karmic. Any font I try to set from the command line (with the -fn option), results in Emacs trying to use a weird serif font (see new screenshot). Choosing from the 'Options'->'Set default font' dialog works fine. -- LMSans17 is substituted for Monospace https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/456899 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
