Public bug reported: Binary package hint: tracker
Greetings! Description: Ubuntu 9.10 Release: 9.10 tracker: Installed: 0.6.95-1ubuntu1 Candidate: 0.6.95-1ubuntu1 Version table: *** 0.6.95-1ubuntu1 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status Since upgrading from jaunty to karmic beta, Tracker (active and running by default now) seems to be continually re-indexing frantically. It's not stuck (the number of files indexed keeps going up and the elapsed time keeps going down), but it gets to the end and starts all over again. There is nothing particularly pitfallish in my home directory that I know of, but I do have ~120,000 files in there (according to the Tracker icon's tooltip).
