[Bug 458393] Re: BadTransition: SYS_SERVER_RESCAN_DONE
One additional comment is that the box was a non bulldoze ugrade from 9.04 to 9.10. No reformatting etc. Today it is showing diconnect in the Ubuntu One folder, but is not showing files I know to be on the server. -- BadTransition: SYS_SERVER_RESCAN_DONE https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/458393 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 458393] Re: BadTransition: SYS_SERVER_RESCAN_DONE
Some weeks ago, I deactivated the 3D effects of Gnome (switched from normal to no effects), which deactivates compiz. Since then, the problem I described ( [Bug 520328] ) did not happen any more. That is, that as soon as the laptop returns from StandBy, the clock in the panel still works and Skype and Empathy reconnect without any error. The same for Ubuntu One. Is it possible, that CompizFusion has something to do with it? -- BadTransition: SYS_SERVER_RESCAN_DONE https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/458393 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 458393] Re: BadTransition: SYS_SERVER_RESCAN_DONE
Well it has been solved for me. Here is what i did. 1. Switch off wifi and Bluetooth using hardware switch. 2. Start up ubuntu one from the menu (Applications Internet Ubuntu One). 3. After the exclaimation mark comes up in the panel icon then start wifi and BT using hardware switch. 4. After successful establishment of wifi connectivity to router then click on panel icon of ubuntu one and click connect. 5. Works! Once said sequence is done, the connection happens as usual everytime during and across many power cycles. [Bug 458393] Re: BadTransition: SYS_SERVER_RESCAN_DONE
I haven't a clue as to why this works, but Kaizer's fix did it for me. After doing what Kaizer did, I have yet to have it fail to disconnect on boot, or any other time at all. [Bug 458393] Re: BadTransition: SYS_SERVER_RESCAN_DONE
My bug was also marked a duplicate, but my symptoms are only similar. I don't use KDE, so that could be part of the problem, but when I would manually connect, as automatic doesn't work for me, then manually disconnect it would crash on me. I'd upload the crash files collected by Apport (awesome bug-reporting program), but according to them UbuntuOne is performing as it should. Next time I'm on my Ubuntu install I'll try to purge and reinstall the Ubuntuone-client and see if that does anything. -- BadTransition: SYS_SERVER_RESCAN_DONE https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/458393 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a subscriber of a duplicate bug. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 458393] Re: BadTransition: SYS_SERVER_RESCAN_DONE
Hi, The bug I have (had) is marked as duplicate of this one. So here is the workaround I am currently using: I disabled automatic ubuntuone connexion at startup. What append is that I have to manually reconnect after a sleep mode and I have to reenter the password for keyring - gnome password management tool - (I am using KDE but ubuntuone seems not to be able to use kwallet.) Any idea how to automate that in the python script ? -- BadTransition: SYS_SERVER_RESCAN_DONE https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/458393 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a subscriber of a duplicate bug. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
Re: [Bug 458393] Re: BadTransition: SYS_SERVER_RESCAN_DONE
hi, i don't know myself how to automate your workaround. thank you for the reply. after deleting all files from ubuntu one local, i started a new lifecycle with ubuntu one. i don't risk using ubuntu one productively, but i copy backup files there; for now, it seems to work. all this after opening linux backport modules and thereby solving my wireless problem. best wishes, ralf On Sat, Nov 21, 2009 at 9:43 PM, battmanux battm...@free.fr wrote: Hi, The bug I have (had) is marked as duplicate of this one. [Bug 458393] Re: BadTransition: SYS_SERVER_RESCAN_DONE
hi, thank you for the reply. i had an upgrade problem from 9.04 to 9.10 with wireless (AR928X) connectivity troubles until complete crashes. it is reported somewhere that there is a problem with the kernel versions 2.6.30 and 2.6.31 and ATH9K. installing backports (incl. kervel's) solved the problem completely in the meantime. no more troubles, also with ubuntu one which i also started anew. best wishes, r. -- BadTransition: SYS_SERVER_RESCAN_DONE https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/458393 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a subscriber of a duplicate bug. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
