seems I have got the same issue here. ath5k is used on my karmic (upgraded few hours ago from jaunty). 00:09.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Inc. Atheros AR5001X+ Wireless Network Adapter (rev 01) wifi works fine at startup, but then it fails and I can't get it working as soon as I suspend and resume from suspend.
