[Bug 460542] Re: qemu-img complains about "Unknown option 'size'" when using host_device format
I tested it in Lucid 64bit running under KVM. There is no output to the console, so it's working! I can even start that virtual machine (Lucid 64bit) in host that is also a virtual machine (Lucid 64bit)! -- qemu-img complains about "Unknown option 'size'" when using host_device format https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/460542 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Re: [Bug 460542] Re: qemu-img complains about "Unknown option 'size'" when using host_device format
Hmm, well, Lucid has 0.12.3, so presumably so... Can you re-test? I'll try myself, but it'll be a few hours (or days). -- qemu-img complains about "Unknown option 'size'" when using host_device format https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/460542 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 460542] Re: qemu-img complains about "Unknown option 'size'" when using host_device format
Response from qemu-devel mailing list: "This has been fixed in master by commit 0b4ce02e which is contained in 0.12, too. Kevin" So this bug has been fixed already in Lucid? -- qemu-img complains about "Unknown option 'size'" when using host_device format https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/460542 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 460542] Re: qemu-img complains about "Unknown option 'size'" when using host_device format
Bitti- Hi, I just checked with QEMU upstream and your patch looks good. Could you please submit it to the qemu-devel@ upstream mailing list? Please make sure you add a line in the patch header that says: Signed-off-by: Your Name I've assigned myself the Ubuntu task. I'll get this patched in the Ubuntu package. Thanks.
Anthony, Can you spot check the attached patch, and note if it's correct or not? I can help Bitti get this submitted on the qemu-devel@ mailing list, if a spot check shows that it's worth submitting. ** Changed in: qemu-kvm (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Triaged ** Also affects: qemu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: qemu-kvm (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Dustin Kirkland (kirkland) ** Changed in: qemu Status: New => Triaged ** Changed in: qemu-kvm (Ubuntu) Milestone: None => ubuntu-10.04-beta-1 ** Also affects: qemu-kvm (Ubuntu Lucid) Importance: Low Assignee: Dustin Kirkland (kirkland) Status: Triaged -- qemu-img complains about "Unknown option 'size'" when using host_device format https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/460542 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
