Public bug reported: After upgrading the distro to Karmic Koala, the WLAN works really poorly. It can take one minute to load Google or any webpage. Also, it disconnects often, and after hibernate I have to restart the computer to make it work. I'm using a Lenovo ThinkPad T60. I have no idea about what can be causing this, but another browser doesn't work better than Firefox, and changing from network-manager to wicd didn't help either. The WLAN worked good before upgrading. (hope I got all the info...)
