Public bug reported: This bug is about a question asked here: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/89054
Since I upgraded to Karmic (about a month ago) I have been experiencing a strange problem that I have never seen before. The terminals are really slow. It's always like I am on a slow ssh connection for instance. I type a bunch of characters and nothing appears and then after a second or so all the characters appear. It happens on all terminals I have on my machine. gnome-terminal, konsole, xterm and getting a terminal by pressing CTRL+ALT+F1. It's not related to compiz I switched off compiz and tried again and the problem was still there. Also I tried creating a new user and it stayed the same. The problem happens on my laptop (cpuinfo attached to this bug), but it doesn't happen on my desktop. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: slow terminal -- Slow terminal https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/477581 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
