 Status in Ubuntu: New

 Bug description:
I think I found what the problem is with no sound. When I clicked on the
speaker icon on the top, I noticed that the sound volume was set to zeor,
completely off. I just needed to move the sound up and increase the volume.
Seems like the upgrade is automatically set to have the volume off. This
makes one think the sound does not work on the new upgrade to 9.10. The
upgrade should automatically set the volume at least to a medium level. The
level was there in my 9.04 version. If this is the solution, let me know.
