Public bug reported: With termcap emulation, tgetstr() needs to understand that it uses only the initial two characters of the capability name. Mostly it has code to do this, but in Karmic I am seeing that the function _nc_find_type_entry() calls hash_function() on the parameter string without honoring the termcap mode, and thus the hash value incorrectly reflects subsequent bytes following the two byte capability name. The attached program shows the issue.
