2009-11-30 Thread Tomi Juntunen
I tried the same methods Zach mentioned and it seems that they are still
only temporary solutions.

Alas, it would seem to have only been another temporary solution.

2009-11-29 Thread Zach Bush
It would seem that the aforementioned fix only worked for one shutdown
restart cycle. after restarting a second time the problem returned.

I then removed the startup entry from startup applications dialog, and
also unchecked the 'Start GNOME Do at login.' box. after a restart,
start gnome do again manually, and recheck the box. after two reboots,
it still works.

2009-11-28 Thread Zach Bush
I had this same problem, I found that restarting the X server would make
gnome-do work properly.

Tomi's comment was helpful, I think I fixed it by going to
System->Preferences->Startup Applications and removing the gnome-do
entry. After a reboot, the problem appears to have been resolved.

UPDATE: Problem seems to not appear when waking up from hibernation.
Only when booting or rebooting the whole system.

[Bug 481749] Re: gnome-do cannot find anything, providing only error message in console

2009-11-19 Thread Tomi Juntunen
Okay, I've been trying to trace the problem now. It seems that during
boot up Gnome Do somehow automatically starts itself two times in a row
thus leading to the situation where neither of the opened GD's respond
to commands, so I have to kill them both from the task manager before I
reopen the application. I checked the startup applications menu, and
there is only one entry for GD.

How do I get debug information of this, since the problem starts already
when booting the system?

Pleas run 'gnome-do --debug' and give us the terminal output from that.

The error you mentioned is harmless and can be ignored.
