I can't confirm this the latest Edgy acidrip. I think it was fixed in
the 0.14-0.2 release.

Anyway, a Dapper backport of this acidrip release is already published
and should hit mirrors soon.

Please reopen this bug report if I am wrong... As I've just done a dozen
xvid rips on 3 different edgy and dapper boxes, I'm fairly confident
that it's fixed.

Exactly the same bug here... error when encoding xvid; the suggested fix
works fine (thank you, Seth B.).
