[Bug 486993] Re: crashes
psl, it would be interesting to see the logs from that event. Does apport have any new information to send to this bug report? Do you see anything new in the logs? -- crashes https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/486993 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 486993] Re: crashes
Memory in PC was tested with memtest86+, no problem found. This PC was running long time U8.04 i386 without problem. I changed memory, disks and installed U9.10 i386 and I see crashes. I noticed that when I removed network cable for few seconds (cable cleanup) from 1G Intel adapter in the PC, kernel crashed. Could be problem in Intel network driver? -- crashes https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/486993 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 486993] Re: crashes
psl, I am not an expert at this, but looking at your dmesg file, I *suspect* that it is some sort of hardware issue. I see some network hangs, but I also see some tainted memory pages. So, I don't know where the issue is from. There was a notice in the dmesg to make sure that you reboot. Also, I notice that at boot-up, there were some filesystem recovery done. I don't know if your crashes are related to that, but it does raise the possibility of issues with your hard drives and/or the RAID card. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- crashes https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/486993 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
