I cannot see all but 2 of the pdf files that I know that are there using the ls from the terminal as well. That's right, the mouse cursor stays with the busy icon, and some files are hidden. Hi Sebastien, I rebooted the machine and all files were there again. There was a lot of other files hidden besides PDFs. Something weird happened. I was using virtual box, VPN connection, etc. Maybe some of this processes caused Nautilus to fail. As long as I can see there is no way to reproduce it. In case I experience this problem again I will let you know trying to add some details.
