I also have problems after upgrade to 2.6.31-15, -14 still running fine. At boot I first see the white ubuntu-logo then the start procedure stops at a flickering tty login prompt. ssh and other network services are functioning, is gdm the problem? for me it boots to a login prompt, no gui. I also see warning errors about vbox flash by. 2.6.31-14 boots me just fine.
