This seems to be fixed in Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy. This issue still happens to me. I'm running the latest Feisty (updated to all repositories as of 2007-Jun-22). gnome-terminal version 2.18.0 No other applications are running other than defaults. Tried restarting gnome (ctrl-alt-bkspace) after making the change. Also tried a shutdown and restart. No difference. Is there another application running that might create hooks to respond to keystrokes.
