[Bug 49654] Re: Installer Crashed

This bug has seen lots of contributions by other people (who would
really have been less confusing if they'd opened their own bugs), but no
log files from the original reporter. Without all the log files, there
is nothing more I can do with this bug. If you can still reproduce this
with the final Ubuntu 6.06 LTS release, please reopen this bug and
attach /var/log/installer/syslog, /var/log/syslog, and /var/log/partman;
see http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DapperReleaseNotes/UbiquityKnownIssues for
known problems and workarounds.

It would appear that the only workaround to this problem that currently makes 
itself known is simply allowing the partitioner to work on it's own. For some 
reason, manually editing the partition table crashes the installer. If you need 
your root partition and main swap to be different from the automatically 
generated defaults, I would suggest downloading an Ubuntu 5.10 release iso, 
installing that, and permitting the 6.06LTS upgrade once you boot into your 
properly configured 5.10 system.

The same bug appeared when I wanted to install 6.06 in sdb8 parttition.
Do you need the logs. If so, how can I attach them.
