Public bug reported: 1) Current release : 9.10
2) > apt-cache policy totem totem: Installed: 2.28.2-0ubuntu3 Candidate: 2.28.2-0ubuntu3 Version table: *** 2.28.2-0ubuntu3 0 500 http://se.archive.ubuntu.com karmic-updates/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 2.28.1-0ubuntu4 0 500 http://se.archive.ubuntu.com karmic/main Packages 3) Showing pictures in rapid succession when playing a video 4) Blank screen. Only sound I made an upgrade, not a clean install, from 9.04 to 9.10. After that, totem will not show pictures when playing video. It plays sound correctly though. This seems to be independent of video format. Identical behaviour for mpg, avi and wmv. The funny thing is that gxine works correctly. And if I first start gxine and then totem, everything is fine! But I shouldn't have to have gxine running in the background to be able to use totem.
