Yes, this still a problem.
I installed the latest upstream kernel and it still doesn't resume
correctly.
The first time I tried it, the caps lock indicator was blinking
(kernel panic) and I couldn't even shut down the laptop by keeping the
power button pressed.
I had to unplug it.
The second time, it behaved as previously, i.e. black screen and
nothing works (no REISUB, no ctrl-alt-del). Keeping power button
pressed turned the laptop off.
After the reboot, I tried running the apport command you gave me, but
got the following crash:

KIAaze, This is an error in the apport reporter. I have raised the issue within the team in the past month as this prevents, in most cases, reporters from providing the needed data to the bugs. I don't have a way to fix that right now, but we are working on it. Hi KIAaze, This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ . If it remains an issue, could you run the following command from a Terminal (Applications-Accessories-Terminal). It will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report. apport-collect -p linux 503485 Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be great.
