To avoid confusion, this has precisely nothing to do with bug 495175. The symptoms are totally dissimilar, and the causes aren't related either. I don't think I selected no localisation. Anyway, the lucid alpha won't boot anymore for me and no one else has mentioned any problems, so I recommend you close this bug.
