cat /etc/environment PATH="/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/bin/X11:/usr/games" LANG="en_US.UTF-8" LANGUAGE="en_US:en_GB:en" Selecting American from the GDM login screen does seem to resolve the problem. Thanks for your bug. What version of Ubuntu do you use? What LANGUAGE config do you have to /etc/environment?
