Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-pilot

for no apparent reason, synchronization between my palm zire 31 and
evolution has become so unreliable that it is now useless.

tasks (todo) synchronization failed completely with the following message:
'(gnome-pilot:4784): gpilotd-WARNING **: Copy from pilot failed!
** Message: time_file: synchronization to PDA = 0'

once in a while, when starting a synch, gnome-pilot will crash with the
following message:
'(gnome-pilot:4644): gpilotd-WARNING **: orbit_daemon_glue.c:1494 Exception:
IDL:omg.org/CORBA/COMM_FAILURE:1.0

gpilotd-Message: removing monitor on pilot for IOR:010000
*** glibc detected *** free(): invalid pointer: 0x084c8228 ***'

i need to kill -9 gpilotd and restart it. then synchro work fine again.

so actually, to get it "working", i have to: manually launch gnome-pilot
in a term, and restart it after every synch. Anyway, synching tasks
always fail.

Synch using pilot-link or jpilot works fine, that is why i am filing
this bug report against gpilot.

btw i am using a stock ubuntu kernel.
my ubuntu is up to date
