- Under ubuntu 9.04, both wlan0 and eth0 connect solidly and stay in place 
until the end

  of the connected session.  Under 9.10 they do not.  The icon for lan wired 
connection (black image)
- appears, "eth0 disconnected"  then, "eth0 connected." It is random.

  Gnome-ppp when installed, with the dgc 1.11 driver installed, will not
