An input/output error can't be a corrupted .deb. Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It sounds to me like the package libatspi which is downloaded may be corrupted. Could you try deleting the package from '/var/cache/apt/archives' and reinstalling it again?
