Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubiquity
During the Install process I am unable to find my 320gb seagate sata2 hd, the installer however detects my 1tb seagate sata drive. During the install after working my way through the installer the partition manager begins to load slows around 47% after a short pause finishes, but does not advance for approximately 3mins to the partitioner screen. Once at the partitioner screen it only shows the Terabyte drive (sdb) and no option to select sda drive. If I open the disk utilities I can mount, add, delete partitions from the sda drive, so I have tried to the installer with sda mounted...unmounted, clear space on the drive.... I have installed many versions of linux over the last couple of years using the installers, but hadn't encountered this one on my system... somehow I get the impression this is going to involve me recompiling my kernel... lol My sys Intel Core 2 E8400 Asus P5Qpro Mb 2gb firestix ram Nvidia 9600 512mb vid card Want to dual boot with Vista (since I like to game) yes I've used Cedega with decent results.... any ideas would be appreciated. ** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Unable to install, sata (sda) drive not appearing in partitioner... https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/523570 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
