[Bug 525581] Re: OpenOffice.org modifies valid formula
We're closing this bug since it is has been some time with no response from the original reporter. However, if the issue still exists please feel free to reopen with the requested information. Also, if you could, please test against the latest development version of Ubuntu, since this confirms the bug is one we may be able to pass upstream for help. ** Changed in: openoffice.org (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Expired -- OpenOffice.org modifies valid formula https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/525581 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 525581] Re: OpenOffice.org modifies valid formula
I'm not sure there is actually a bug here except possibly for it not displaying cell ranges in order all the time. Does it actually make a difference in the formula which order it is in, as far as I can tell it shouldn't. -- OpenOffice.org modifies valid formula https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/525581 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
Re: [Bug 525581] Re: OpenOffice.org modifies valid formula
I have not yet upgraded to 10.04, so I cannot test yet, however, I investigated the bug further and I believe that OpenOffice is replicating Excel behavior and so the bug likely exists in 10.04 because the bug exists in OO and the bug exists in 00 because the bug exists in Excel. (I guess it must be called a feature, possibly for historical reasons.) I mention the above because if you want to fix the bug, it would probably be easier in the long run to fix it for all of OO rather than just the port to Ubuntu. [Bug 525581] Re: OpenOffice.org modifies valid formula
[This is an automatic notification.] This bug was reported against an earlier version of Ubuntu, can you test if it still occurs on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (Lucid Lynx)? Please note we also provide technical support for older versions of Ubuntu, but not in the bug tracker. Instead, to raise the issue through normal support channels, please see: http://www.ubuntu.com/support If you are the original reporter and can still reproduce the issue on Lucid, please run the following command to refresh the report: apport-collect 525581 Bear in mind that you may need to install the python-launchpadlib package from the universe repository. Additionally, when prompted to give apport-collect permissions for Launchpad you will need to give it at least the ability to "Change Non-Private" data as it will be adding information to your bug report. If you are not the original reporter, please file a new bug report, so we can work with you as the original reporter instead (you can reference bug 525581 in your report if you think it may be related): ubuntu-bug openoffice.org If by chance you can no longer reproduce the issue on Lucid or if you feel it is no longer relevant, please mark the bug report 'Fix Released' or 'Invalid' as appropriate, at the following URL: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/525581 ** Changed in: openoffice.org (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- OpenOffice.org modifies valid formula https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/525581 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
