2010-03-05 Thread Klau3
I just installed Eclipse through the software center. After selecting my
workbench Eclipse shows the welcome window. There I clicked on the
Workbench icon and than the program crashed.

2010-03-03 Thread Vasile Rotaru
I can confirm it. After a certain update Eclipse start crashing on auto-
completion (you press Ctrl-Space) than select and down it goes.

I'm using vanilla Eclipse, and it crashes both with Ubuntu packaged
jdk, and with locally installed latest jdk. (u18)

[Bug 528324] Re: eclipse crashed with signal 5 in _XError()

2010-02-26 Thread Niels Thykier
Hi

According to your bug report, eclipse was terminated by signal 5; which
I believe translates to SIGTRAP. To the best of my knowledge, this
signal is only used for debugging purposes. Can you reproduce this crash
reliably? Also are there any logs from eclipse (e.g.
$WORKSPACE/.metadata/.log) ?

~Niels

[Bug 528324] Re: eclipse crashed with signal 5 in _XError()

2010-02-26 Thread kk
Hi

After a system update today, eclipse crash when you try to select from a
list of functions of class method or variable in the java editor.
Pressing the escape or enter eclipse crash every time with this message:
Trace / breakpoint trap (core dumped).

The error does not occur after disabling the automatic activation of
hints after pressing dot (Window - Prefrerences - Java - Editor -
Content Assist - uncheck the Enable auto activation

I think this error is common...
