[Bug 530383] Re: Terminal rendered irresponsible and disappeared
Sorry, i missed discussion about this bug in my mailbox. For some reason it dropped into spam. Basically the problem is that i was not smart enough to use screen utility. But it is not a point. The point of bug is when terminal is lost (i.e. internet connection or ssh session is aborted (i.e terminated unexpectedly)) terminal window is not closed and left orphan. 1. If i'm in normal bash and ssh session is terminated, terminal is destroyed (no complains, works as expected) 2. If i'm in screened session and ssh session is terminated, terminal is preserved and can be reigned later via means of screen -r But if in whiptail terminal is preserved and cannot be regained, meaning it left as orphan in system forever leaving user only with kill -9. Expected behavior: terminal is preserved and can be regained via some means if ssh is terminated during apt-get execution if apt-get have not exited at point of reconnection. ** Changed in: sun-java6 (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid = New -- Terminal rendered irresponsible and disappeared https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/530383 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 530383] Re: Terminal rendered irresponsible and disappeared
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. I'm not sure to understand your problem. You killed the installation of sun-java6-jre while it was asking you to accept or not the license. This is what triggered this report. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem you actually encounter (in as much detail as possible). Thanks! ** Changed in: sun-java6 (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- Terminal rendered irresponsible and disappeared https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/530383 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
