Hi Sebastien, I'm not sure the bug still exists. I haven't tried reproducing since I reported it. I will try again and let you know. Does it happen without running any application during the first session? If not could you note what application is writting the .Xauthority? Exactly same thing happen to me. Ubuntu 6.06, GDM 2-14.10-0ubuntu1.
