[Bug 545151] Re: Nexus One requires .is_audio_player on SD card

2010-10-12 Thread Christopher Meiklejohn
I've got a T-Mobile HTC G2 and this is still a problem. It appears I
still need to touch the .is_audio_player file to be able to see the
device in Rhythmbox.

This seems like a bigger Android issue, rather than just the N1.

[Bug 545151] Re: Nexus One requires .is_audio_player on SD card

2010-03-25 Thread skillllllz
Okay, I created a udev rule for the Nexus One under /etc/udev/rules.d/
and the system is now recognizing it as a media player. However,
Rhythmbox is still showing it as "8 GB Filesystem". When I remove the
.mpi file, the system does the same thing. Is the name of the device in
Rhythmbox pulled from somewhere else? I'm confused.

2010-03-25 Thread skillllllz
How can I use this file? I tried placing it in the /usr/share/media-
player-info directory with the proper permissions, but that did not
help. I am on karmic x86 if that helps. Please let me know.
