Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg
lsb_release -rd: Ubuntu lucid (development branch) (beta1) I have a Dell XPS 1530, and using nvidia 195.36.15 driver I have my notebook connected to 2 external screens. One via VGA port, and the other via the HDMI port. When I go to nvidia-settings, i can see both monitors and enable both in TwinView. I click on "Save to X Configuration File" and everything seems to work OK. But when I log out and then log in, these preferences are lost, the VGA monitor is the only screen visible, and I have to reconfigure it. This was working perfectly on Karmic ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.04 Package: xorg 1:7.5+3ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.32-17.26-generic 2.6.32.10+drm33.1 Uname: Linux 2.6.32-17-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Architecture: amd64 Date: Sun Mar 28 21:23:46 2010 DkmsStatus: vboxdrv, 3.1.4, 2.6.32-17-generic, x86_64: installed nvidia-current, 195.36.15, 2.6.32-17-generic, x86_64: installed nvidia-current, 195.36.15, 2.6.32-16-generic, x86_64: installed vboxnetflt, 3.1.4, 2.6.32-17-generic, x86_64: installed vboxnetadp, 3.1.4, 2.6.32-17-generic, x86_64: installed InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04 "Lucid Lynx" - Beta amd64 (20100318) MachineType: Dell Inc.
