Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. However, a paper cut should be a small usability issue, in the default Ubuntu install, that affects many people and is quick and easy to fix. Confirming bug in synaptic 0.62.5 Steps to reproduce: 1: Mark a package [ex: 3dchess] 2: synaptic will ask for installing additional dependencies. in this case [xaw3dg] , accept it 3: Now Unmark 3dchess Deviation: - synaptic asks to /Mark/ for installation again xaw3dg What should happen is , synaptic should Ask to /Unmark/ the additional changes Note: If we undo the mark from Edit Undo , the additional packages will get unmarked automatically ** Changed in: synaptic (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Low ** Changed in: synaptic (Ubuntu) Status: New = Confirmed ** Description changed: + In synaptic 0.62.5 + + Steps to reproduce: + 1: Mark a package [ex: 3dchess] + 2: synaptic will ask for installing additional dependencies. in this case [xaw3dg] .
