[Bug 563042] Re: Dual screen crashes X server on Intel 915

2014-01-05 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
cgrushko, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com
/daily-live/current/ .

If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in
the development release from a Terminal
(Applications->Accessories->Terminal), as it will automatically gather
and attach updated debug information to this report:

apport-collect -p xserver-xorg-video-intel REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER

Thank you for your understanding.

[Bug 563042] Re: Dual screen crashes X server on Intel 915

2010-05-03 Thread cgrushko
Having the same problem (dual head, etc.) , except -
1. It happens on KDE
2. The same xrandr command on GNOME works fine.

Attached my backtrace, which is identical except some addresses.

[Bug 563042] Re: Dual screen crashes X server on Intel 915

2010-04-14 Thread kimo
** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: xorg

When attempting to set dual head with side by side displays the X server
crashes with "Segmentation fault" (and returns back to the kdm login
  screen).

- The simplest way to recreate the segfault is to run: xrandr --output
- VGA1 --mode 1280x1024 --pos 1024x0
+ The simplest way to recreate the segfault is to run:
+ xrandr --output VGA1 --mode 1280x1024 --pos 1024x0

Attempting to us the KDE system-settings->Display to configure the built
in LCD and external VGA LCD as side by side screens ("Left of") also
  causes a segfault.

Running both screens as clones works without a problem.
