[Bug 564611] Re: [Realtek ALC861-VD] ALSA test tone not correctly played back
pulseaudio worked fine. Then it crashed (?) at some point. There was no sound. I rebooted. No sound. I moved away .pulse* files and rebooted. Still no sound. Tested speaker, works fine. Looked at System-Preferences-Sound, everything looks as it should, including applications tabs which shows applications outputting sound. Did my ubuntu-bug output get lost or is it attached somewhere since I added myself as affected? -- [Realtek ALC861-VD] ALSA test tone not correctly played back https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/564611 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 564611] Re: [Realtek ALC861-VD] ALSA test tone not correctly played back
I see that this bug is very often reported and what changes is just the hardware. for this reason i think i'll not open the same bug for my hardware (VIA8237 - VIA 8237) but i join here adding my bug experience. In my case the bug appear just after logoun - login, and if i press two times (on a multimedia keyboard) the disable/enable audio button, it starts play music as well as before logout. I suppose it depend on a not correct save process on logout, which don't care of audio setting at the moment... Each time i do logout and login, the hardware test says that there are many muted controllers (also if i never muted anything). I use a Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid) obtained by upgrade of Karmic. I hope this bug could be fixed asap. -- [Realtek ALC861-VD] ALSA test tone not correctly played back https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/564611 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
