I have the same problem with lucid 2.6.32-23. The drive will read
data CDs, but audio CDs are not recognized. This was not a
problem in Hardy and it isn't a problem when I dual boot to
another OS.

2010-04-30 Thread Frederic.dantz
Hi,

I tried kernel 2.6.34-999 amd64 with Karmic. I hop it's the one I was
suppose to test.

All behaves exactly the same. Except that I couldn't check for audacious
and kb3 as they weren't installed on the secondary disk used for this
test.

[Bug 565513] Re: Can't play audio CD : Drive disappear from nautilus when inserting audio cd

2010-04-27 Thread Jeremy Foshee
Hi Frederic.dantz,

If you could also please test the latest upstream kernel available that would
be great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue.
Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the
upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be
done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the
bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text.
Please let us know your results.

Thanks in advance.
