It does solve the two-finger scrolling issue. -thank you.

If the driver exists, recognize the hardware and are working fine, why
does it not work in gnome settings and two finger scrolling out of the
box?

The Wlan works after installing ndiswrapper and the Win XP driver with ndisgtk.
The Fn+F2 then toggles the wlan.
The other combinations don't seem to work

Wlan is enabled in the bios. -I am, currently connecting to wlan via

Is the wlan hardware supposed to be supported in Lucid Lynx?

Please, verify that wlan is enabled in the bios. Ubuntu Lucid Lynx does
not start wlan if it is not set in the bios (while other distros do
start wlan regardless of bios setting - see bug 544991).

[Bug 566496] Re: Ubuntu ubuntu-10.04-beta-2 Hardware support Asus eee 1005P

2010-04-27 Thread Jeremy Foshee
Hi mote,

Please be sure to confirm this issue exists with the latest development release
of Ubuntu. ISO CD images are available from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ . If the issue remains, please run the
following command from a Terminal (Applications-Accessories-Terminal). It
will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report.

apport-collect -p linux 566496

Also, if you could test the latest upstream kernel available that would be
great. It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue.
Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Once you've tested the
upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag. This can be
done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the
bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text.
Please let us know your results.

Thanks in advance.
