Indeed, as you say.  The version of GRUB in Natty has mechanisms to
defend itself against this, so it shouldn't be a problem in the future.

PXE is used to boot up using a network image. Please check that the boot
order has your primary hard drive listed and that your hard drive is
detected correctly in the BIOS.

Sorry, I have resolved this bug and it happened to be a duplication of
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/482757 . It was
caused by the software Dell Data Center on Windows that corrupted the
MBR partition after the first Windows login.

you can close this, I am sorry I forgot I posted it.
