I do not know. I installed 11.04 and reverted back to 10.10 as this release was crashing my computer and was pretty slow and buggy compared to 10.10. So I do not plan to test or install 11.10 or any beta. Thanks for reporting this bug and any supporting documentation. Since this bug has enough information provided for a developer to begin work, I'm going to mark it as confirmed and let them handle it from here. I can confirm that the screensaver does activate during the movie, sometimes. I don't know if this should be a bug against the screensavers or totem, though. It is quite irritating to have to hit a key every so often because I forgot to set the screensaver time to activate to the length of the movie. I can confirm on Lucid. With both gnomescreensaver and and xscreensaver installed. I not sure where the problem lies, but judging as best I can with my rudimentary debugging skills, the attached dbus output would seem to imply that - totem (1.774) is sending an "Inhibit" signal, - the ScreenSaver (1.602) receives that request and then informs the SessionManager. - Meanwhile, the SessonManager turns around and responds false for a check of IsInhibited for some reason (return reply_serial=1926: boolean false). ** Attachment added: "Totem dbus interaction.
