Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-core
Updating xserver-xorg-core to 1.0.2-0ubuntu10.3 in dapper leads to broken X.
"X -scanpci" fails to find the AGP adapter.
Downgrading to xserver-xorg-core to 1.0.2-0ubuntu10 solves that issue.

Without a graphics adapter X dies with "(EE) no devices found".
