In Lucid I tested this problem with Orca 2.30.2 version. Only help if I uncheck the grab focus on object when navigating application preference. Bill, you tryed Maverick this issue? I not tryed Maverick, because native Espeak Maverick packaged version the hungarian voices is broken.
