[Bug 575824] Re: Problema con discos en Ubuntu 10.04 LTS

2010-05-06 Thread Evan Dandrea
Can you please describe your bug in English, or can someone provide an
English translation? Google translate is being entirely unhelpful.

** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu)
   Status: New = Incomplete

[Bug 575824] Re: Problema con discos en Ubuntu 10.04 LTS

2010-05-06 Thread Xoán Cardelle
** Description changed:

- Binary package hint: yelp
+ I have a 80Gb ATA IDE disk. old with Windows XP and Windows Server and
+ other Sata II 500 GB partition with Ubuntu and NTFS.

+ The Sata I have it plugged into SATA II_1 (Main) and the ATA and IDE
+ exclave.

- exclavo IDE.
+ In Gparted version of Ubuntu 9.10 Dela appeared correctly as sda and sdb
+ SATA and ATA.

+ By upgrading to 10.4 I did not stop to tell him where I wanted to
+ install Grub, if you would in the SATA, but is that the 4.10 Gparted
+ gives me the ATA as sda and the SATA as sdb, so that the grub installed
+ wrong and I loaded the windows startup.

+ I saw that on computers with a single disc, making it perfect, but I
+ think is a mistake that should be announced as many of us have dual
+ boot.

- tenemos arranque dual.
+ Anyone know anything about it?

- Alguien sabe algo sobre el tema ?
-
- Gracias.
+ Thank you.

2010-05-05 Thread Daniel Faulkner
If you can also give an English translation of your bug report it will
allow a quicker response. Using an online translation service it looks
like the issue you are reporting is that you are installing Ubuntu on to
SATA drive in a computer with 2 hard drives with windows already
installed on an ATA drive and the installer is trying to install grub to
the wrong hard drive.

Yelp is the software powering ubuntu's help system. I believe you either
want grub or ubiquity.

** Package changed: yelp (Ubuntu) = ubiquity (Ubuntu)
