[Bug 577985] Re: network-manager believes static networks to be "offline"
fixed it by applying the workaround by Mathias. However, I wonder why we only got affected a few days back after an update. NM's one of the first package to get uninstalled since I don't want my users messing around with the connection. -- network-manager believes static networks to be "offline" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/577985 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 577985] Re: network-manager believes static networks to be "offline"
On initial install of Lucid, networking was fine, but after some very recent update, NetworkManager woke up and started telling every part of the system that was foolish enough to pay attention to that there was was no network connection even though there was. This desktop computer has a wired ethernet connection with a static IP, route, etc. If I recall correctly I set this network as "unmanaged". I can tell Firefox and Claws mail to ignore NetworkManager, but I wonder what else is silently broken because it thinks there is no network connection available??? -- network-manager believes static networks to be "offline" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/577985 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
