I upgraded to KUbuntu Lucid by a clean install from the CD to the root
partition, which worked fine for a couple of days. A couple of days ago,
after a reboot I didn't have the network connection any more. After some
troubleshooting, I realized that /etc/network/interfaces now contained
only the loopback interface. The only explanation I have is that a
package install or upgrade overwrote the file, because when I added
"iface eth0 inet dhcp" line to it *and included it as an 'auto'
interface), the network works fine again.
