There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test the current Ubuntu development version (10.10). Delete this. a reinstall fixed 2,3,4 and 14 of the problems above. Im now surviving. I can reproduce it many times. Is it possible my ubuntu installation got completely corrupted because i have issues with. 1. graphic (no 3d, program closesinstantly when i get to the 3d part) 2. Empathy (screen name, some contactsare offline while they are talking to me) 3. Gwibber (i only have US network and i live in Norway. that limits the posts in facebook(gwibber) to 10 persons) 4. wacom install (install copmpletes, wacom don't work) 5. panels going crazy(some areas disappear some multiplies themselves, and some goes on top of each other, its different every session) 6. i cant remove game menu entries 7. wine runs sluggish, prob related to 1. 8. remote desktop shows localhost's ip adress 9. i can't get into the bank. java? 10. remote desktop shows localhost twice instead of the ip i need to make other connect. ifconfig also shows localhost. localhost.xx and 10.0.0.01(or something) 11. pitivi dosent encode mp4 12. when im offline and gwibber is running my cpu is 95-100% when i shut it down it drops to 20%-45%. 13. my keyboard is configured strangely. i cant type * or right-shift left-arrow to mark stuff i cant left-shift right-arrow i cant left-shif+ctrl right mark stuff i have to use left shift when im marking, but right shift works normal for everything else exept for * this is confusing. Im using the standard Norwegian layout. 14. i can't copy files to a usb then copy them over to my other computer. I tried to reproduce your issue but I couldn't.
