Sorry I do not have a ppa set up. *Just download the source with apt-get source gtk+2.0. *Remove the diff and dsc file *cd to debian/patches and edit the series file. Comment patch 064 with a # at the beginning. And then you build the package like you would. More information at MOTU page. If it complains about gnome-pkg-tools then just install that package. This really is just about shutting down a lot of boxes. There is no sense it booting up an OS where most of the most used apps will not run correctly.
