Ok, thanks for the clariffication!. Installing amule from the ubuntu repos, and running it, shows now: Initialising aMule 2.2.6 using wxGTK2 v2.8.11 So I think this bug can be closed in ubuntu as well. I have closed the bug in aMule's bugtracker. aMule 2.2.6 runs fine in Maverick when it was built in Maverick. This one here obviously wasn't, since Maverick ships with wxGTK 2.8.11 . Just create a new binary package for Maverick. I think that the issue you are reporting is an upstream one and it would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers of the software at: http://bugs.amule.org If you have done so, please tell us the number of the upstream bug (or the link), so we can add a bugwatch that will inform us about its status.
